
The Legal Center
- Intake hours are Tuesdays, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and Saturdays, 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. (Note: the first Saturday of each month is reserved for Birth Certificate and Credit Report applications only)
- The Legal Clinic offers free legal services for clients whose income is low or who are unemployed, and for clients who are homeless or threatened with becoming homeless.
- Services are provided by the Legal Center director, and by volunteer lawyers, paralegals and law students.
- Practice areas include help with identity and credit issues, social security, public benefits, utilities, landlord/tenant issues, and boarding home issues.
- The Legal Center is a participant in the Homeless Advocacy Project's Adopt-A-Shelter program.
